What to Expect (Florida Charters)at type of fish will we encounter on our fishing charter?

The Tampa / St Pete areas have a diverse fish population. Fishing out of a custom built 18' Beavertail Mosquito flats skiff we will target Snook, Seatrout, Redfish, Tarpon, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, Cobia, Shark, Mangrove Snapper, Grouper, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Bluefish, Kingfish, TripleTail and others.

What to Expect (Virginia Charters)

The Smith Mountain Lake (SML) offers trophy Striped Bass. Fishing out of a 23' Center Console we will target Striped Bass using live bait and artificial bait. Mixed in with the Striped Bass are Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass.

Maximum 6 anglers per trip due to boat maximum weight capacity.

 

What You’ll Need to Bring

There are a few things that you may want to bring along with you to make your fishing day more enjoyable. These include sunscreen (NO SPRAY SUNSCREEN), hat, rain-gear, food, drinks (if you’d prefer something other than water or Gatorade), comfortable boat shoes/sandals that you don't mind getting wet, polarized sunglasses and jackets if fishing during our cooler months.

Departure Times and Location

Normal departure time is 7:30 AM however this may vary based on time of year and tides. If a later or earlier departure time will improve fishing opportunities, your captain will communicate this to you in advance of your charter. Trips take off from Maximo Park Boat Ramps in Florida and the SML State Park in Virginia.

Deposits / Payments

  • $150.00 deposit required.  Weather cancellations are made at the captain's discretion (deposit returned). Cash, Credit Card, Venmo, ApplePay and PayPal are all acceptable forms of payment. Payment is handled at the conclusion of the fishing trip. Gratuities are appreciated.
